Issue #123

Issue #123
You can't see this without hearing the music.

When I started this newsletter I had 1 simple goal in mind: Help people find a job they love.

I had no idea whether people like you would read it, let alone find a role that made it easy to get out of bed. The only way to find out was to start sending it.

The good news: After 120 issues the feedback has been beyond positive. People who aren't even in the market for a new role open it daily just to see what cool jobs are listed (some tempted to apply). Others have been using it as a source to see what's happening in the digital space more broadly around Australia, like who's hiring and what new start-ups are entering the market. Roles at Reddit Australia were listed here 2 months before the tech media picked up the local office launch.

However, during this time I've also recently found a new role. And it's one I need to focus my energy on. I sift through thousands of roles every morning to find about 5 to 10 worth sharing with you. It's not exhausting work by any means but it does take time. Time I no longer have.

As such, I've made the decision to pause this newsletter for the foreseeable future. It might return as a weekly newsletter, it might return under a completely new name and focus, it might have just been a fun project. Only time will tell.

Thank you for reading, please stay in touch. Don't forget to check out the roles below. There are some crackers today.

Mike

Who makes this newsletter and why?

Hi, I'm Mike. I'm not a recruiter or HR person, but I have been working in digital for nearly 20 years. I've done just about every role that exists, from developer to marketer, graphic designer to sales, project manager, and product manager.

While there's no shortage of ways to find a job, I wanted to cut through the noise and showcase only the most interesting, career-defining — maybe even life-changing — opportunities in digital.
